The eleventh book in the Thirty-third Series by the Limited Editions Club is "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair, who has also written a preface for this edition. It includes twelve full-color wash-and-ink drawings by Fletcher Martin, with eight full-page and four two-page spreads, plus thirty-three two-color line drawings for chapter headings. The book, designed by John B. Goetz of the University of Chicago Press, uses eleven-point Monotype Scotch for the text and Masterman type for headings and page numbers. It measures 7 x 10⅝ inches with 384 pages, composed and printed at The Garamond Press in Baltimore, Maryland. The cream-white wove paper is specially made by Curtis Paper Company. The boards are covered in butcher paper, with a pigskin spine stamped in gold and decorated with a burned-in design by Martin.
