This is a 1952 reprint of a classic first published in the UK in 1919; this is a 1952 reprint by Methuen & Co. Overall in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with the main wear issue associated with the dust jacket. There is a tear where the front cover meets the spine about 1" up from bottom, some small chunks missing from jacket top of spine and some smaller chips, light soiling of white spaces, particularly the back jacket, price clipped and now handsomely portrayed in a mylar jacket showing the BEAUTIFUL COLORFUL JACKET! Clean light blue cloth boards, light fading along the board edges and on the spine. The previous owner made some ink markings on the book listing opposite the title page, else no marks in 245 clean and solidly bound pages. B144
